Two powered outputs at the end of the long-range line
The PixLite® R2F-S is the receiver for the long-range transmitters
T8-S Mk3 and T16X-S Mk3: it sits up to 300 m from
the transmitter right at the pixels, takes the data in over a network cable and outputs it on two fused outputs
together with the pixel power — power supply on, pixels on, done. Clocked and data-only pixels both work.

What this receiver is made for
- As the counterpart to the T8-S Mk3 (up to eight receivers) or
T16X-S Mk3 (up to sixteen) — one receiver per line
- Two pixel strings of up to 1,020 RGB pixels each directly at the receiver, powered from a local power supply
(5–24 V, up to 6 A per output, 12 A in total)
- All pixel types: clocked (CLK + DATA) such as APA102 or data-only such as WS2811
- Little space: 95 × 78 × 33 mm, on a flat surface or on a DIN rail with the kit
Not for
- Without a transmitter: the R2F-S only understands the long-range signal of a PixLite transmitter — no Art-Net,
no sACN, no direct network connection
- Four data-only strings per line on the T8-S: that is what the R4D-S is for;
one output with up to 48 V and 10 A on the T16X-S: the R1F-S
- Direct outdoor mounting without an enclosure: the unit is designed for installation, not for rain
Also required: a long-range transmitter, a network cable (Cat 5 or Cat 6, up to 300 m), a power
supply matching the voltage of your pixels (5–24 V) and the pixels themselves. Matching

Wiring
Up and running in three steps

Mount and power the receiver. At the pixels, screw it onto a flat surface or put it on the
DIN rail with the DIN rail kit; power supply in the pixel voltage (5, 12 or 24 V)
to the quick-connect clamp.

Connect the pixels. Per output +, CLK, DATA and −. For chipsets without a clock line, such
as WS2811, CLK stays free.

Connect to the transmitter. Network cable from the transmitter output into the RJ45 socket
(up to 300 m); outputs and universes are set on the transmitter in the browser.
Caution: power supply and pixels must have the same voltage — 12 V on 5 V pixels destroys them
instantly. The RJ45 socket is not a network port: it belongs on a PixLite transmitter, not on a switch.

Frequently asked questions
How many pixels can one R2F-S handle?
1,020 RGB or 768 RGBW pixels per output, twelve universes together. The second limit is the
current: 6 A per output, 12 A in total — with power-hungry pixels at full brightness it is reached before the
pixel count; then split the strings or inject additionally.
Can I run an R2F-S on the T16X-S as well?
Yes. On the
T16X-S Mk3 the R2F-S works in expanded mode with
two outputs of 510 pixels each; on the
T8-S Mk3 with two outputs of 1,020 pixels
each.
What happens when a fuse blows?
The "Fuse good" LED of that output goes out, the other output keeps running. Fix the cause,
open the flap, replace the 7.5 A mini blade fuse (automotive standard).
