Information on electrical and electronic equipment

The following notes are intended for private households using electrical and / or electronic equipment. Please pay attention to these important notes in the interest of the environmentally friendly disposal of old equipment as well as your own safety.

1. Information on the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment and the meaning of the symbol according to Annex 3 to the ElektroG:

Owners of old equipment have to pass these to a separate separation from the unsorted settlement waste. Electrical and electronic equipment may therefore not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste and are not included in household waste. Rather, these old devices must be collected separately and disposed of, for example, via the local collection and return systems.

Owners of old appliances also have to separate old batteries and old accumulators, which are not enclosed by the old equipment, before delivery at a collection point.

The latter does not apply insofar as the waste electrical equipment is separated according to § 14 paragraph 5 clause 2 and 3 ElektroG as part of the opting by the public waste disposal authorities for the purpose of preparation for the reuse of other old equipment in order to prepare it for reuse.

On the basis of the symbol according to Annex 3 to the ElektroG, owners can recognize old devices, which must be recorded separately from the unsorted urban waste. The symbol for the separate detection of electrical and electronic equipment is a dashed waste bin on wheels and is designed as follows:

2. Information on the possibilities for returning old equipment:

Owners of old equipment can make these available within the scope of the disposal or collection of old equipment set up by the public waste disposal authorities in order to ensure proper disposal of the old equipment. Where appropriate, a disposal of electrical and electronic equipment is also possible there for the purpose of reuse of the equipment. Further information can be obtained from the respective collection or collection point.
