LED Pixel

String or strip?

Addressable LED pixels come in two forms: as a string with individual 12 mm pixels on a cable and as a strip with closely spaced LEDs on a flexible PCB. In both cases every pixel can be controlled individually in colour and brightness.

Individual points of light

LED Pixel Strings

WS2811 pixels, 12 mm in diameter at 10 cm spacing, for 5 V or 12 V, potted to IP68. For sculptures, facades, letters and matrices.

Continuous line of light

LED Pixel Strips

WS2812B for 5 V and WS2811 for 12 V, with 30 or 60 LEDs per metre, in IP30, IP65 and IP67, black or white PCB.

What suits my project?

I want … … this fits
individual points of light with visible spacing pixel string
a continuous line along edges or in profiles pixel strip
pixels permanently outdoors pixel string (IP68) or strip in IP67
to control the pixels pixel controller
to power the pixels power supply matching the pixel voltage
