MADRIX 5 preprogrammer: prepare shows before the installation is ready

The preprogrammer licence removes the main limitations of the MADRIX® 5 demo mode and lets you simulate any regular licence level. It does not unlock any output to fixtures.

MADRIX KEY required: the licence is stored on an empty, metallic MADRIX KEY and bound to its serial number. Without a KEY, MADRIX 5 only runs in demo mode, without output. The KEY is not included; each licence needs its own KEY. Older green plastic KEYs do not work with MADRIX 5.

Activation

Unlocked in three steps

  1. Order. Order the licence and, if you do not have one yet, an empty MADRIX KEY. The licence is generated for you after your order.
  2. Receive the activation file. You receive an activation file (PDF) with a ticket number by e-mail.
  3. Unlock. Plug the KEY into the computer, start MADRIX 5 and enter the ticket number under Help › MADRIX KEY › Activate MADRIX KEY…. Activation needs an internet connection once; afterwards the KEY also works offline.

If the target computer has no internet, activation also works via a file exchange with the manufacturer.

MADRIX 5 system requirements

  • Microsoft Windows 11, 64 bit only
  • CPU from 2.0 GHz, dual core
  • Graphics card with DirectX 12 and WDDM 2.0 driver (incl. OpenGL 2.1)
  • 4 GB RAM, 1 GB free disk space
  • free USB port for the MADRIX KEY

Output via Art-Net, sACN (E1.31), DMX512 (with a suitable interface), KiNET, Philips hue and DVI, among others. Manufacturer data MADRIX.

Frequently asked questions

Is a MADRIX KEY included?
No. You receive the licence as an activation file. The empty, metallic MADRIX KEY is sold separately. If you already have an empty KEY, you can activate the licence on it.
Can I move to a bigger licence later?
Yes. The licence can be upgraded to a higher level on the same KEY at any time, for example to start. There are dedicated upgrade licences for this.
Does my old green KEY work with MADRIX 5?
No. MADRIX 5 only works with the metallic KEYs. In that case you need a new KEY for MADRIX 5.
Is the licence tied to one computer?
No, it is tied to the KEY. Plug the KEY into another computer and the licence goes with it.
How long is the licence valid?
Without time limit; according to the manufacturer there is no term and no subscription.
