Description

MADRIX 5 update entry: from MADRIX 2 or 3 to MADRIX 5

The update brings an existing “entry” or “dvi entry” licence from MADRIX® 2 or 3 to the entry level of MADRIX 5. Afterwards 12 DMX universes (6,144 channels) and 262,144 DVI pixels are available.

Metallic MADRIX KEY only: MADRIX 5 works exclusively with the metallic MADRIX KEYs. Older green plastic KEYs do not work with MADRIX 5. If your old licence is on a green KEY, you also need a new, empty MADRIX KEY.

Activation

To MADRIX 5 in three steps

  1. Order. Order the update and, if your licence is on a green KEY, a new MADRIX KEY. The update is generated for you after your order.
  2. Receive the activation file. You receive an activation file (PDF) with a ticket number by e-mail.
  3. Unlock. Plug the KEY into the computer, start MADRIX 5 and enter the ticket number under Help › MADRIX KEY › Activate MADRIX KEY…. Activation needs an internet connection once.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep using my old projects?
Yes. Project files from MADRIX 2 or 3 are converted for MADRIX 5. Older effects are not always carried over identically, so check your shows before use.
Does my old green KEY work with MADRIX 5?
No. MADRIX 5 only works with the metallic KEYs. If your licence is on a green KEY, also order a new, empty MADRIX KEY.
Which update do I need?
The update for the level you have today. The table above shows which old licence belongs to which update. If you want a higher level in MADRIX 5, take the update first and then an upgrade.
Is the update tied to one computer?
No, the licence is tied to the KEY. Plug the KEY into another computer and the licence goes with it.
