Questions before you buy

How many pixels can a controller drive?

A universe has 512 channels and controls 170 RGB or 128 RGBW pixels – so 1,000 RGB pixels need 6 universes. The A4-S and E4-S handle 24 universes, the E16-S, T8-S and T16X-S 96 each.

A4-S or E4-S – what's the difference?

Both have 4 outputs and 24 universes. The A4-S powers the pixels through its outputs (compact); the E series is fed separately and is designed as a board for installation. Power supply sizing: Power supply for LED pixels.

Pixels far away from the controller?

The T series (T8-S, T16X-S) sends the data over an RJ45 cable up to 300 m to the R1F-S, R2F-S or R4D-S receivers, which sit right next to the pixels.

Art-Net oder sACN?

All PixLite Mk3 understand Art-Net, sACN (E1.31) and DMX512. Which one suits your software: Art-Net or sACN?

Do I need a computer for the show?

Not necessarily: the PixLite Mk3 play shows from microSD (SHOWTime) and start via up to 25 triggers – see SHOWTime. The show itself is programmed with software such as MADRIX or xLights.

Which pixels are compatible?

Common chips such as WS2811 and WS2812B. Full list: Compatible pixels for PixLite Mk3.
