Regulated WS2811 RGB Pixel String (12 V DC) – 12 mm Bullet, 10 cm Pitch, IP68

Addressable RGB Pixel String using the WS2811 protocol (Single-Wire NZR) for 12 V installations. The regulated electronics per pixel stabilise the light output across a wider input-voltage range and reduce visible brightness and colour deviation along longer runs.

What does “regulated” mean for WS2811 pixels?

With regulated, the supply relevant for LED/IC is stabilised inside the pixel. In practice, output remains more uniform over longer distances than with resistor-reduced (“resistor”) pixels. If voltage at the pixel becomes too low, a regulated pixel may shut down (typically below approx. 7–8 V at the pixel).

FAQ

Does “regulated” replace power injection?

No. Regulated reduces visible effects of voltage drop, but power supply and injection points still must be designed correctly.

How do I size PSU and injection?

Approach: assume worst case (e.g. 60 mA/px), select PSU with 20–30% headroom, define allowable voltage drop, then derive injection points.

Is every variant outdoor-ready?

Pixels are IP68. Outdoor suitability of the complete string also depends on connector sealing and mechanical implementation.
